Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the history of the game, certainly the best man-at-ball that anyone has ever scored on. With that, he has had an easy time of it, being one of the greatest players in the history of football. But this past year he has had a much harder time. He has been in the public eye, being the highest paid player in the world and one of the most sought-after stars in the game. But he also has been the target of online trolls that are making him out to be a little bit of a joke.
All of this media attention has led to some strange reactions by the Portuguese star. From the initial, innocent comments that make him seem the most pleasant person on the planet — the fact that he loves to eat, but is also very much into football — through to the ones that are downright bizarre. A couple of weeks back, in an interview with a magazine, Ronaldo said he was thinking of becoming the next president of the United States, but he didn’t really mean it.
